On the final silver breath of winter, when the moon hangs full and luminous above the sleeping woods, the Spirit known as The Last Night of Winter walks once more beneath the ancient trees.

Cloaked in the shimmer of moonlit frost, his robes echo the glowing night sky, silver and shadow entwined. Around his hem stand the dark sentinels of the forest, their silhouettes etched against the quiet earth, guardians of the season he has lovingly woven.

All winter long, he has whispered to the snow, traced crystals upon windowpanes, and guided the silent hush that blankets the land. He is the keeper of stillness, the architect of frost, the dreamer of long nights. Yet he knows the turning of the wheel.

On this sacred evening, honoured in old druidic lore as the threshold between slumber and stirring, he gathers winter’s magic back into himself. The cold softens. The moonlight fades. And with a final blessing upon the roots of the forest, he begins his gentle retreat.

He does not vanish in sorrow, but in promise. For as the earth awakens, he sinks into ancient hibernation beneath the stones, storing moonlight in his silver heart.

And when winter calls again, he will rise, reborn, recharged, and ready to weave his spell once more.

N.B: Each Spirit is handmade and painted in the ‘Manifestorium’ at The Christmas Imaginarium. Therefore just like the spirits that inhabit the bodies, no two will ever be exactly the same!

The fact they are all handmade also means that, just like us as people, they may bear their own little quirks and imperfections; we think this adds to each Spirit’s individual charm and character and are identifying features of a truly artisan product.
